Character Info

◎ Character's Name: Hinata Hyuga
◎ Character's Canon: Naruto
◎ Character's Age: 16
◎ Canon Point: Naruto Manga Chapter 677, At the start of the Infinite Tsukiyomi
◎ Background/History: Naruto Wiki
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? Nope and nope!

◎ Personality: Hinata is a quiet and at times overly polite person. This formality is learned from a young age, being the heiress to the esteemed Hyuga Clan, one of the most prominent clans in Konoha. The clan itself is rather large so there is a lot riding on Hinata from a young age to become strong and to carry the mantle placed on her shoulders by her clan's expectations. Hinata is rather soft spoken and gentle, causing her to be hesitant when training with her sister, Hanabi, and cousin, Neji. It is because of this that her father casts her aside in favor of training Hanabi and Neji, naming her younger sister as the Hyuga's main branch successor. This causes Hinata to withdraw further and lose confidence in herself.

As a young genin, Hinata continues to be hesitant on missions and lacks confidence but resolves to change herself for the better as she watches Naruto's growth over time. Her relationship with Naruto is one of the most important relationships she has had to date, second to Kurenai and Team 8. When she was bullied as a young child, Naruto immediately rushed in to rescue, protecting her from the bullies at the cost of his own physical well-being. Hinata is unable to stand up to them on her own, feeling ashamed when her savior is beaten to a pulp. When he comes to, she immediately thanks him - there are two versions of this incident: one in the Manga and one in The Last: Naruto the Movie. They differ slightly in setting/ time but the overall start to finish is the same. Because of Hinata's withdrawn and shy nature, she watches Naruto from afar and often is incredibly shy when he approaches her, causing him to think her weird and gloomy as children. Hinata is also prone to blushing and even fainting when Naruto becomes physically close to her. As Hinata grows older she stops comically fainting in front of him, only blushing in his presence when becoming embarrassed. Naruto is the person who causes Hinata to regain confidence in herself and also repairs the fractured relationship Hinata has with her family.

From a young age, Hanabi and Neji were the two who Hinata kept most at a distance, despite Hanabi harboring a great admiration for her elder sister, and Neji once thinking her a kind and gentle person and admiring her before his father passed. When Neji's father passed he became antagonistic towards Hinata, worsening when he is gravely punished via his curse mark by her father for nearly seriously injuring her during a training session. The members of the branch family of the Hyuga clan all possess this mark that separates them from the main branch and brands them as soldiers for the preservation of the main branch, the true heart of the clan. This animosity changes after Neji and Naruto become good friends and Naruto changes Neji's views of his circumstances. The two Hyuga children hope to change their clan's cruel past into a better future. Unfortunately, Neji does not see this happen in his lifetime as he tragically died in the Fourth Shinobi War. Aside from Naruto, Neji is the person who helps Hinata to flourish into a more confident and skilled shinobi. After his death, she wishes he were still with her, to give her the strength to help Naruto during battle.

Hinata often insists that her nindo - or ninja way - is the same as Naruto's: to never go back on her word. She proves it time and again when stubbornly refusing to move out of harm's way when swiftly moving to support Naruto. In Naruto Shippuden, the timeskip in the manga, Hinata faces off Pain, the pseudonym of Nagato, when Naruto is physically unable to defend himself and no one else comes to his rescue. While everyone either didn't know what was going on, was too injured to help, or believed him capable of handling the situation, Hinata selflessly moved to protect him without a thought to her own safety or his feelings on the matter. She repeats her words to him again in the 4th Shinobi war when he begins to falter after Neji's death, going so far as to physically strike him to snap him back to his senses, an act that is not characteristic of her in normal circumstances. This is the greatest example of Hinata's growth from the shy and withdrawn child to a bold and opinionated young woman. Her strong belief system is because of Naruto giving her confidence to do what she can to become strong enough to support him. The simple act of protecting her as a child caused her to grow from admiring him from afar to loving him deeply as a young woman.

Hinata's teammates Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame often either tease her (Kiba) or try to encourage her to become stronger and more confident. While their interaction is not completely shown on page, as the manga is prominently focused on Naruto's team with Kakashi, Sakura, and Sasuke, it is obvious they hold a strong bond and love for each other. Their teamwork is on par with Ino-Shika-Cho and Team Seven. Kiba's brash nature and Shino's quiet disposition often clash with Hinata's flustered and weak nature. There have been times, in the Anime in particular, that Kiba is shown to be exasperated by Hinata's blushing messy self when it affects missions they might have with Naruto. Otherwise he takes it in good stride and teases her and tries to encourage her to be bold. Shino, the more grounded of the three, is often "left out" of their missions but he cares just as deeply about Hinata's feelings and well-being and tries to help her become confident as well. Kurenai rounds out their team with a motherly disposition as their teacher.

It is through Hinata's relationships with the other characters that she grows from a quiet shy girl to a strong woman, capable of standing toe to toe with the strongest of foes. She is also a genius in her own right, creating Byakugan-utilized techniques of her own. Thus, she proves her strength and becomes someone who stands at Naruto's side on and off the battlefield. It doesn't hurt that on more than one occasion, as the two become closer, Naruto comments on how strong Hinata is as a shinobi and a person!

◎ Powers/Abilities: The Hyuga Clan possesses a strong eye technique, the Byakugan. This grants the wielder a near 360-degree x-ray vision, with the exception of a blind spot near the back of her head. In battle, this flaw is easily overcome by standing back to back with another clan member, such as Neji. This x-ray vision enables her to see the chakra pathways of her enemies and is also useful in aiding other techniques such as the Yamanaka Clan's Mind-Body-Switch technique as she can pinpoint chakra sources from up to 20 kilometers away. The Byakugan is also resistant to genjutsu.

Furthermore, Hinata and the rest of the Hyuga Clan specialize in Taijutsu, being able to accurately disable her enemies while her Byakugan is active. She can see their pressure points to physically stop their chakra network. One such technique that is commonly utilized is the Gentle Fist, used to surgically inject chakra into an enemy's chakra network and cause severe damage with minimal contact. While Hinata is hesitant to hurt others, she does not progress much beyond this point as a child but by her canon-point, she is capable of using the technique with such a degree of expertise that she was able to relocate Naruto's shoulder when he dislocated it in battle during the war.

Other techniques include the Eight-Trigrams Vacuum Palm, used to deflect oncoming attacks; Eight-Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms; and a self-created technique, Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists, that drains an opponent's chakra network.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory: 1) Ninja gear (her clothes consist her green flack jacket, shirt, pants, sandals, ninja wraps, and weapons pouches, and weapons 2) Weapons include kunai, shuriken, and needles. She had nothing else on her person.
CEREALIA-Specific

◎ Element: Earth. Hinata is a very grounded and calm individual. While she might suit water or air, Hinata's greatest characteristic is her ability to keep someone who is often volatile, such as Naruto, grounded.
◎ Sense: Sight. This is pretty self-explanatory. Without it, she's probably about as weak as a kitten. She can't sense chakra networks without her Byakugan and would only have smell sound taste and touch to rely on as a result.
◎ Seven Character Traits: gentle, kind, opinionated, insecure, shy, withdrawn, easily embarrassed

Cerealia was still a new and strange place to her. It was scary and new and ViViD scared her more often than not. Just the reminder that she wasn't home anymore made her nervous, but she made the best of what she had. She didn't want to believe it was all gone. Her family, her friends... she wouldn't believe it!

Looking out the window of her apartment, she could see the artificial sky over head, keeping them inside. She wished she could see if it was true or not - despite the video footage that claimed their worlds were gone. She couldn't see past this place with her Byakugan. It distorted and prevented her from looking beyond the sky to anything outside.

Being forced to remain here had made her feel complacent as she slowly decorated her living space to suit something similar to home, with what her credits allowed. She wanted to survive here, to remake her life here if she needed to. Just the idea of continuing on without complaint made her shiver with anger. Naruto and Lee were the only thing keeping her afloat these days, reminding her that she needed to be strong for her friends. It was a small reminder that she hadn't lost everything. All she could do for now was keep busy with her work and keeping her things neat and orderly.

That thought brought her to meticulously folding her clothes, organizing books and cleaning the furniture that had been created for her living space. Somehow, cleaning gave her something to do. Cleaning kept her busy. She wanted something to remind her of Neji, but thus far could not properly replicate her feelings for him in some sort of symbolism. Could she have plants? Everything was so new that the thought didn't cross her mind, but she wanted sunflowers for him. Their family meant everything to her and to have that one little piece of them here as a reminder was everything too.

"I wonder if Naruto-kun might know... or Lee-san." They were here before her, though Lee would probably be the best person to ask. She hoped that it wouldn't be too soon of a topic to broach. She wanted him to be at ease. Just the thought of upsetting him made her hesitate, pacing back and forth, clasping her hands together as she thought through how to speak to him about it.

Her CereVice beeping brought her out of her thoughts, causing her to jump a bit and gasp at the sound. There was no better time like the present to talk to Lee, it seemed. She would have to find out if that was a message from him or not.

◎ Is your character retaining any previous game memories? Nope!
